Her Story

From Family Kitchen
to Global Recognition

Novy’s relationship with food began at an early age in Indonesia, learning by the side of family elders who measured nothing with scales and everything by sight, aroma, and intuition.

In a traditional Indonesian home, cooking is an act of care and patience. Every dish starts with a bumbu—a foundational paste of fresh aromatics slowly ground by hand and gently simmered to unlock complex layers of sweet, spicy, sour, and savory.

After years of honing her craft and sharing Indonesian culinary culture with discerning private clients and corporate leaders, Novy founded Novy’s Kitchen.

Her philosophy is simple: never dilute authenticity. Whether preparing a celebratory feast for thirty or an intimate table for six, her dishes celebrate pure regional ingredients, time-tested heritage, and the unmistakable warmth of genuine Indonesian hospitality.

Guest Chef & REVĪVŌ Jackfruit Rendang

Novy was invited to REVĪVŌ Resort in Bali to collaborate with their executive head chef and kitchen team. Together, they developed an authentic, plant-based jackfruit rendang—bringing the rich, slow-cooked flavours of traditional Indonesian spices to the resort’s wellness menu without compromising on taste.

Guest Chef & Heritage Chicken Satay

During her residency at The Heritage Café & Bistro in Galle Fort, Novy worked alongside the head chef to teach authentic Indonesian chicken satay. She guided the kitchen on traditional stone-ground marinades, flame-grilling techniques, and her signature hand-crushed peanut sauce.

In Indonesia, meals are built on community and shared abundance. Our dining experiences encourage genuine connection, lively conversation, and shared memories around the table.

3.
